imageThis article was published on Metro Daily in Hong Kong today. It answers a question that many women (and men) have asked – Are soy beans bad for women’s health…we heard it could cause breast cancer?

Oncologist Dr Shum said the phytoestrogens in plants wouldn’t cause breast cancer. In fact, it could reduce the risk of death and relapse of breast cancer if there’s a daily intake of 10 mg of phytoestrogens, according to a recent big-scale research. There’s also another recent research that found eating soy protein products will reduce the risk of lung cancer. If there’s a daily intake of 1 oz of tofu, it will drop the risk by 7%.

Interesting facts, eh?
